Study Skills Help
The product of a collaborative effort between the Writing Center, Academic Performance Center, and Library, DSU’s Study Skills Handouts provide a brief overview of peripheral skills all college students need to succeed. Additional coaching on these skills is provided by the Academic Performance Center.
Mini-Lessons & Learning Modules
Utah’s Online Library contains a wide variety of resources for students at every point in their academic careers. Through the Online Library’s website, students can access learning modules that teach math, science, reading, writing, and grammar principles. The website also contains study guides and test prep for major placement tests.
Academic Resources on Campus
The Writing Center provides free writing tutoring to DSU’s students and is located on the fourth floor of the Holland Centennial Commons, adjacent to the Academic Performance Center.
DSU’s Career Center assists students with a variety of professional tools and opportunities. From resumes to internships, the Career Center helps students transition from the classroom into the workplace.
The Disabilities Resource Center provides reasonable accommodations to students suffering from disabilities and is located next to the Testing Center in the North Plaza building.
The Reference Desk on the second floor of the Holland Centennial Commons allows students to meet directly with librarians in order to make research and documentation support easily accessible.
